About Me

Nice to meet you here!!! I’m currently a master student learning Human-Computer Interaction Design in Indiana University Bloomington. And I’m seeking for a full-time Product/UX design position.

Why UX Design?

With the development and popularity of digital technology, our life has become tightly connect with IT, software and digital devices. Food, travel, entertainment, work, study, health care, etc., we almost use software and digital technology at every single concepts of our daily life. To many people, smartphones have even become as important as one of our organ.

To me, UX design is like the bridge to connect people and software development. And user experience is like people’s sense of the digital world. My dream is to utilize UX design to help others improve their experiences and make people’s life better. Even a tiny design has the opportunity to impact everyone, that’s what I learned from my previous project. Creating value with design is also my identity of this field.

Beyond UX Design

Besides design, I also have various habits such as baking, cooking, hand crafting, painting, playing the guitar and photography. For me, trying different things offers me opportunity to view the world from various angles. And these skills make me special and versatile.

Love design, and learn design from life

I love discovering potential design opportunities during my spare time and listening to others’ opinions. I’m also keen on visual design and prototyping. I feel designing cakes is quite similar with other design fields. Combining different ingredient and using different manipulations just like trying various design methods to get valuable user data. To make different kinds of cakes for others, I like think about what color, style, flavor they prefer and their personal characters. I usually design several sketches before I finally start baking. The process of thinking, brainstorming and trying new things is also similar with designing for different clients who have various requirements, and meeting with new challenges.
